Notella - chocolate hazelnut spread

100g roasted and chopped hazelnuts (you can buy them already roasted and chopped or do this yourself)

7 dates + hot water to cover

3T water

2T cacao butter

2T cacao or cocoa powder

2T water

In the chopper attachment of a hand blender blitz the nuts. Put them into a bowl.

Soak the dates in hot water for 10 minutes if they are not soft. Drain.

Blitz the dates and 3T water (does not need to be hot water)

Melt the cacao butter in a glass in a bowl of hot water, add to the dates and blitz

Add the cacao or cocoa and blitz.

Add the nuts and 2T water and blitz again. Decant into a jar.
